William Pyle's research and teaching

I am an economist with advanced degrees in both Economics and Russian and East European Studies. This site highlights my recent research, much of it focused on Russian society and the short- and long-term consequences of the country’s transition to a market economy in the early 1990s. It also includes links to syllabi from recent courses that I have enjoyed designing and teaching at Middlebury.
